Lois O'Neal is a lay member of the Northeast District of the MidTexas Conference of the Global Methodist Church (GMC). She holds a B.A. from Greenville University, a Free Methodist college in Illinois, and an M.A. in English from the University of Illinois. After retiring from a career in education and human resources, she and her late husband volunteered with a development organization in Guatemala, where she observed firsthand how assumptions about finances and human potential can limit the impact of well-intentioned interventions. Lois has two stepchildren and their families. Her passions include downhill skiing, mountain hiking, traveling, reading, and discipleship.
